Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with uppercase letters in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, came out in May 2015 on Decca Records to great approval of bloggers in the music industry and media. She has previously recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by Oasis. Oasis for a Christmas advertisement by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Her name was also recognized through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the song Runaway. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is that of finding a piano in her attic and being fascinated by the music it could produce. Parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as a career or hobby but for growth. For this reason she started writing her own new compositions. Bjork as well as Leonard Cohen are among her most favored songwriters. Her mother was supportive of her performing her music in front of the public, but not in order to be famous, but to let others know that they matter and what they can do to make a difference in the world. The piano was her first instrument at the age of six, and began creating music when she was nine. The family did not be aware until 14. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. Aurora is simply a writer who loves writing songs. For her, music is the most effective way to feel anything.
