Kim Delaney (born Kim Delaney) is an American actor best well-known for her character of detective Diane Russell in ABCs NYPD Blue and for which she was awarded the Emmy Award. The most notable role she has played is her part in All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. As the sole daughter to a senior executive of the United Auto Workers and a housewife, Delaney was raised with four brothers. While she had a childhood goal of becoming a journalist, it wasn't until her high school years that she began modeling. When she moved away from New York City and gaining experience with commercials and commercials in New York did she achieve an aspiring career as court reporters. She starred in 1981 as an innocent teenager in All My Children. Since then, Delaney has been featured in many film and television dramas.
